Next Feature

PhotoWalk.Me has been live for almost three weeks now. During that time there have been some minor changes, bug fixes and small feature enhancements. While those types of changes will continue, it is time to work on some bigger enhancements and features.

Rather than just work on the first thing on the list, lets put it to the vote. There will be a poll on the PhotoWalk.Me Twitter and Facebook accounts with four options for the next feature to be developed. The options are listed below as there won’t be enough room on the polls for a full description.

The Options

• Groups

  If you have a camera club, but you don’t have your own website or even if you do and you just want a way to manage your membership, this is the feature for you. The groups feature is for people to setup online groups or camera clubs, that can have one or more admins. It will have allow site users to request to join a group/club, there will be a way to organize group photo walks.

• Events

The events feature will allow us or users to create events, such as a Polaroid Week event. An event can be for just one day or a week or longer, the event organizer will select a date range for the event and then other users can create photo walks that are part of that event. Taking Polaroid Week as an example there could be multiple Polaroid Walks going on all over the world with everyone using their polaroid cameras.

• Profile Photo Upload

The current profile photo functionality is fairly limited, this feature will allow users to upload their own profile photos regardless of whether they login with a social media account. It will also allow header photos to be uploaded for photo walks to make them a bit more appealing.

• Other

If you have a better idea for a new feature not already listed here let us know, what you would like to see implemented instead.
